Born in 1956, he studied law at the Law School of the National and Kapodistrian University of Athens and graduated in 1979. He is a member of the Athens Bar Association, has right of audience before the Greek Supreme Court (par Areio Pago) and has been practicing law since 1982. He attended a post-graduate seminar on Administrative Law during the academic year of 1981-1982, which was chaired by Professor Michael Stassinopoulos. In 1985 he attended the Educational Program for Executives and Companies at the Greek Center for Productivity (ELKEPA), and specifically the seminar on Income Taxation for Individuals and Corporations. During the early years of his legal practice he handled mostly cases regarding Administrative, Tax and Labor Law. He specializes in cases of Civil Law, handling principally matters of Property, Greek National Cadastre & Mapping Agency (Ktimatologio), Expropriation, Inheritance, Compensation claims due to car accident damages. He also specializes in Commercial Law (corporate and bankruptcy). In 2005 he established the A. Tzavellas & Associates Law Firm with his colleagues.
